The traditional skill of making nipper in Nodushan will be recorded in national heritage list.

Mrs. Fatema DaneshYazdi the general director of Yazd Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization(CHTO) said "Ironsmith has a very long history in more Iranian provinces such as Yazd. Ironsmith had been one of the most important and prominent profession in Mehriz, Nodushan, Aghda, Ardakan, Khezr Abad and Sakhvid village. Although this old profession has survived and its life still continue among the people of Yazd area but its advance has been reduced gradually by modern development growth."
She added that the ironsmiths made equipments which were needed for farming, bakery, carpentry, carpet weaving, gardening, farrier and a variety of home tools when they were active in the past.The home tools include of nipper, knives, axes, scissors, pliers, swords, blades, hardware (disks), thresher wheels, horseshoes and horseshoe nails, bolts, rings and nails, keys, locks …
The general director said " from 33 traditional blacksmithing workshops 5 workshops are active and 2 person engaged in producing all kinds of artifacts such as knives, scissors, knives, nippers, bascule, etc in each workshop. Nipper making is one of the jobs which related to traditional ironsmith opened in Nir, Sakhvid and Taft."
She also said that Mr. Hosein Ali Jafari is one of the famous and experienced toolmakers in Nodushan area.With over 70 years old and 20 years of experience, he is still making nipper.
The general director of Yazd CHTO expressed that the other well known and experienced toolmakers are Mr.Mohamad Hasan Sakak, Mr.Khaja Mansouri, Mr.Hadj Mohamad Abouye Mr. Seyed Mohahad Ashraf, Mr. Mohamad jamashi. These are few persons who still are working in this profession despite their old age.
The traditional skill of making nipper has been recorded recently as National Need of Urgent Safeguarding by number 101.
